Shipmates:

The 2016 gathering in Providence-Warwick Rhode Island was a big success.

There were almost 200 members and guests in attendance at the Association's 25th annual reunion.

We allowed more than the usual free time for visiting with friends - in the hospitality room, on the premises of the beautiful and efficient Crowne Plaza Hotel and at lunch and/or dinner.  A communal buffet breakfast each morning added to the camaraderie.

We were treated to a tour of Marble House, the summer "cottage" of Mr and Mrs William K. Vanderbilt.  And a slew of sailors had a chance to enter the simulator room of LCS-9 on the Newport Naval Base.

Our banquet featured a wonderful disc jockey who entertained during dinner and for dancing afterwards.

Dave Schappell was the lucky winner of the magnificent flint-lock rifle built especially for us by shipmate Jerry Tylla.

President Bill Stankiewicz honored those members who had attended all 25 reunions, and others who'd punched the clock at least 20 times.

Keep an eye on your email inbox for an e-LitComs on the subject.  A print LitComs will be issued ASAP.
